Therapy Focus - Charity Backyard Blitz
Star Metal enjoyed being part of a project to help out with a community project which NS Projects in conjunction with Focus Building is leading to transform the back yard of a family in Marangaroo for their severely disabled son.
The family have wanted to enable their son to access the outdoor area for play, walking and spending time with his family who love to be outdoors in the vegetable garden. There is insufficient space for him to use a walker indoors to practice his walking skills, nor couldhe access his backyard in his wheelchair due to insufficient space.
Along with about 40 other volunteers blitzing other parts of the backyard, Star Metal contributed all the materials, and a number of our staff donated their time to install stainless steel balustrading to the newly constructed wheelchair ramp.
The project was an outstanding success in completely transforming the backyard into an accessible and engaging outdoor playground. Star Metal would like to thank NS Projects for inviting us to be part of such a rewarding project.
