Our expertise
Our capabilities and skills across architectural metalwork, industrial fabrication and perforated sheet metal mean we can work across a broad spectrum of fabrication projects. We are a ONE-STOP SHOP. Our strong internal processes, supported by our sound management systems, ensure projects are well managed through design, drafting, fabricating and site installation.

Star Metal provides a one stop solution from concept to installation.
Design / drafting– preparation of fully dimensioned and marked up drawings suitable for architect or client engineer review. We can deliver fully rendered 3D models or simple 2D CAD drawings as determined by our customer.
Engineering certification– from cyclone wind rating, to C3 balustrade rating, to structural integrity- we can ensure the final product meets all engineering compliance, and Australian Standard requirements.
Specialised welding capabilities – with a range of fabrication expertise we can provide welding qualifications and codings to suit a range of applications:
Mild steel
316 & 304 Stainless steel, and Aluminium
Exotic metals such as copper and brass

At Star Metal we are always looking for ways to do things differently. It is the reason we have a longstanding and loyal customer base. Just because we have worked with companies for many years does not mean that our engagement with them or our offerings have stayed the same over that time. As our use of technology has changed, we have continually communicated with our customers about what else we can add to our service delivery.
Our team is in regular contact with a wide network of suppliers and service providers, not only nationally but around the world. This ensures we keep abreast of the best products and services, as well as latest machinery and technology, to ensure we continue to deliver the highest quality outcome to our customers.

We believe in building our industry and adding to the pool of skilled tradespeople in WA, we will continue to support apprentices and we employ new recruits annually.
Star Metal’s objective is to promote from within. For many years we have offered Traineeships for those who have demonstrated the capability and interest in moving to a different or more senior roles. This has helped us attract and retain great people and as a result our turnover of staff is low. Several of our key people have made their start with us through apprenticeships.
We maintain ongoing relationships with relevant TAFE colleges to assist us recruiting apprenticeship positions. We also work with local high schools to offer pre-apprenticeship training and work experience.

Our investment in cutting-edge technology ensures precision, efficiency, and the capacity to meet a wide range of project demands — from architectural metalwork to complex, custom fabrication.
We utilise state-of-the-art turret punching, press braking, rolling, and finishing equipment designed for high-volume and high-accuracy output. Our machinery is fully integrated with our 3D design and drafting systems, ensuring that every component is manufactured to exact specifications.
With in-house capabilities across stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel, we maintain strict quality control and can deliver faster turnaround times while reducing rework and waste. Our ongoing commitment to equipment upgrades ensures we stay at the forefront of industry standards and continue to meet the evolving needs of our clients.

We have our own in-house installation team and a highly skilled fabrication team with a broad range of experience on a diverse range of installation projects.

Our 4,000m2 workshops contain a fully integrated cutting, bending and welding service for complete in-house quality and lead time control. Our capability extends from single projects and low production runs to large volume OEM production.
